Job Title: - Restaurant and Grill Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Restaurant Manage at Josiah’s Bar and Grill, situation at the Best Western Plus Stoke on Trent Moat House Hotel. This is a key role in the hotel as you will support the Food & Beverage Manager in all aspects of running a large Restaurant which seats up to 220 covers

We are a 4* hotel located within Festival Park, Stoke on Trent with 147 Bedrooms, incorporating Etruria Hall, Josiah Wedgwood’s former home, with 14 meeting/events rooms, ballroom for up to 500 and our newly refurbished Restaurant : Josiah’s Bar and Grill.

• As Josiah’s Bar & Grill Manager you will be in charge of the Restaurant areas daily operation ensuring the delivery of customer service is of the highest standards

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
• Regularly review forecast and monitor payroll by achieving productivity score.
• Organize and supervise shits
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations, COSHH
• Manage restaurant’s Rota weekly and monthly
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
• Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
• Promote the brand in the local community through guest survey comments and restaurant events
• Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads, promotions)
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
• Implement policies and protocols and will maintain future restaurant operations
• Conduct reviews, appraisals and disciplinary when and where required.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a hotel restaurant manager or similar role in high end restaurants
• Proven customer service experience as a manager
• Extensive food and beverage (F & B) knowledge
• Familiarity with restaurant management software
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Acute financial management skills
