Recruiting now, this is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and exceptionally personable Bar and Lounge Manager to be part of the exquisite Parker’s Tavern and to help continue to shape it as the ‘go to’ place in Cambridge.


Parker’s Tavern is a high end, quintessentially British restaurant & bar run by award winning local chef- restaurateur Tristan Welch, within the iconic University Arms Hotel.

Still in its first year, the hotel has the wonderful accolade of being included on Condé Nast’s ‘The Hot List 2019 : The World’s Best New Hotels’, as well as recently winning ttg luxury Travel Awards’ ‘Best New Luxury Hotel of the Year’, and being voted Sunday Times ‘City Hotel of the Year’.

The bar is an intrinsic part of the Parker’s Tavern experience with a stunning décor, fun & inventive cocktail menu and well thought out wine list. The atmosphere is laid-back sophistication during the day and a vibrant buzz in the evenings.


You are likely to be a skilled bar manager with experience gained in a high-quality bar/ restaurant/ hotel environment. You should be passionate about drink and menu design and providing first class hospitality to your guests.

Strong management skills are required as recruitment & training of your team are an essential part of the role, as is business acumen and solid financial understanding.

You will be an articulate, well presented and confident leader who most of all is excited about the opportunity to shape something really special in an amazing venue.
